Obituary For Hardy Wooten, Jr. Hardy Diggs “Babyface” Wooten, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC departed this life on Wednesday afternoon, February 14, 2024. Hardy Diggs Wooten, Jr. was born March 27, 1944 in Falkland, NC to the late Hardy and Sadie Gray Wooten, Sr. Hardy Diggs Wooten, Jr. graduated from North Carolina A&T University in 1966. He married his high school sweetheart Delores Foskey Wooten on June 6, 1966. They were married for over 54 years before she preceded him in death. He was employed with R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company as a Manager of Information Systems for over 20 years. He then went on to work for Lowes Companies in North Wilkesboro in the same position where he retired. Hardy Diggs Wooten, Jr. was a dedicated deacon at Macedonia Holiness Church of God of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. in Winston-Salem, NC. Under the teaching of the late Dr. Robert L. Wise, Sr. he received the gift of the Holy Ghost and matured in his spiritual walk. He served in many different capacities in the church such as the Financial Secretary, President of both the Brotherhood and Sunday School. He was also a devotion leader and a member of the Spiritual Wings Choir. He leaves to cherish his loving memories four children, Anthony Wooten of Winston-Salem, NC, Angela Wooten of Winston-Salem, NC, Timothy (Nicole) Wooten of Kernersville, NC, Alison (John) Carter of Winston-Salem, NC; Seven grandchildren Joshua, Victoria, Jordan, Raven, Gabrielle, Timothy and Hannah; Three great grandchildren Joshua Jr., Angelynn, and Ethan; Two sisters Charlene Evans, Sadie Applewhite; Seven brothers Charlie Wooten, Willie Wooten, Bobby Wooten, Bennett Wooten, Lawrence Wooten, David Wooten and Dennis Wooten(who preceded him in death) Along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and devoted church members.
