Life of Mother Sarah Ann Diggs “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever.” I Chronicles 16:35 SARAH ANN DIGGS of Thomasville, North Carolina, departed this life on Friday, December 16, 2022, at the age of 77. She was born March 13, 1945, in Lexington, North Carolina, to the late George Lindsay and Dora Lindsay. She was married to the late Louis Diggs. Sarah went to Dunbar High School in Lexington , North Carolina, and received Christ at an early age. She worked for Thomasville Furniture Company for many years as well as Gilmore Funeral Home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A devoted member of Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Winston- Salem, North Carolina, she loved serving her pastor in addition to serving on the Mother’s Board and cooking for the church for all occasions. To love Sarah was to know her because she had a love for people— she enjoyed the company of her family and friends. She loved to make people laugh when they were sad. She also enjoyed being creative with baking and crafts. Cooking was her passion in which she was always cooking for so many people. Also, Sarah loved to drive, ride, and shop. She would travel to all the gospel singings. Sarah loved basketball and became one of Golden State Warriors’ greatest fans. She also love watching her stories every day, including Young and Restless and General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Fred Lindsay (Qmilla), Clyde Lindsay (Katie), Jessie Lindsay, and Wilma Lindsay.Sarah Leaves to Cherish: Her children, Tony Lindsay of Mt. Holly, NC, Jerome Lindsay and Twannette Lindsay, both Thomasville, NC, and Shando Lindsay of Charlotte, NC; a devoted grandson who she loved so dear, Tyler Davis; grandchildren, Jasmine Diggs, Yasmine Diggs, Corey Lindsay, Rico Lindsay, Kierra Hedgebeth, Chelsea Lindsay, Alicia Lindsay, and Jalon Lindsay; siblings, Louise Tuttle (Clevester), Edith Leak (Robert), and James More (Joanne), all of Midway, NC; sister-in-law, Marie Lindsay of Midway, NC; and a host of niece nephews, great-grands, cousins, and friends.
