Carolyn Blackmon McCullough

Carolyn Blackmon McCullough was born to the late Evans Brown and the late Neona W. Blackmon on June 27, 1957. She quietly and peacefully transitioned from this life into eternity surrounded by love on April 1, 2025. She is preceded in death by Gussie Weathers, Travell Blackmon, Taraja Fairley, James Williams, TawantaBlue, Gibran Tariq Ali, and Madeline (Paula) Brown. She received her education in the Mecklenburg County School System graduating from Myers Park HighSchool. She was employed by Holly Farms, Frank R Burgers, and Guest Quarters before joining the Walmart Team where she was employed for over 30 years. While employed by Walmart many people would not leave Walmart after shopping without stopping by the Lay-a-way department to see Ms. BeBe. Walmart was more than a place of employment for her; the employees became her family. Carolyn was so excited to be joined in Holy Matrimony to her loving and devoted husband Larry McCullough on September 12, 2022, that she planned a family outing to announce their new journey; that was heartfelt, celebratory, and full of love and support. She had an infectious smile that would light up the room. It was filled with magic that had the power to change your entire day. Her love for family and friends alike was unmatched and her unwavering devotion to her children was undeniable. Though her health declined she continued to touch the lives of many people by continuing in the fight for her life. She exemplified class and character by living out her journey non apologetically and without complaints. She gave us a little piece of Heaven right here on earth by demonstrating what it’s like to face trials headon with your head held high and a determination as your compass. Carolyn leaves to cherish a lifetime of love and memories: husband Larry McCullough ,three children Shanta Watson (Lee Davis),Le’James Blackmon and Na’Keisha W. Wallace (Travis) all of Charlotte, NC; a special son Roderick Lee Davis (Latoya); a special goddaughter Nih’Jaylina Caldwell; grandchildren Nyesha Watson, ChristopherJackson Jr., Joshua Blackmon, Airriona Blackmon, Andre Floyd Jr., Alexiah Blackmon, Landon Blackmon,Neomiah Brown, Zariyah Blackmon, Takoya Featherson, Camden Miller, Zayden Jeter, Devonte’ Claus,Carson Blackmon, Kylar Wallace and Kaydence Wallace; great-grandchildren Emani Watson, EmoriMcQuiller, Bentley Jackson, Aalani Jackson and Kilan Blackmon; a loving aunt Anne Murphy (Joe);sisters Charlotte Durham, Shelia Blackmon, Mae White, Lorraine House (Charles), Loretta Dunlap-Jones Gwendolyn Brown, Angela Toomer and Jacqueline Hough all of Charlotte, NC; brothers RichardBlackmon (Brenda), John Blackmon (Regina) and David McCullough (Wanda) of Charlotte, NC; not toexclude a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends
